This spring, the latest hair styles seem to say minimalistic, easy to maintain, and semi glamorous for evenings out on the town. It appears as if the most popular style is going to be slicked back hair, looking as though one could go right from the swimming pool to cocktails in the evening with ease and style. And “slicked back” in this case means using product to slick it back, such as mousse’s or gel.

Another popular trend is towards the wearing of turban style wraps and headband wraps. These can be worn either on top of one’s head, or low down on the forehead, in the case of headband’s. Whether the wrap is worn directly on top of the head, or almost in a “pirate” style, the wearer will still be in style for spring.

In a throwback to the 70′s, hair is going to go towards center parts this spring, clean, slick center parts that seem to work best with straight hair. The part is done in a razor clean line, and hair can either be worn pulled back or halfway back, or even full down.

If a clean center part doesn’t work, a deep side part is just as fashionable for spring. The part is done way over on the side of the head. Either way that the hair is parted, the part needs to be straight and cleanly done to be in style for this spring.

If one’s hair tends to be more curly or wavy, the next style is good for those hair types, and is called “gym hair.” It is done by texturing one’s roots, again using products such as mousse or gel, and then funky hair clips are used for extra effect.

Another nice look for long hair, done along the lines of gym hair is to pull hair back into a loose “knot” and then let the middle strands go straight down the middle of the back. This is a very easy to do style and can go right from the gym to a night out on the town easily, and in style.

Ease is the buzz word in hair styles for spring, and minimal fuss is used to create the styles and to maintain them. Hair that can go directly from either laying by the pool or swimming, right to a night on the town will be chic and very fashionable.
