Photo & Art Exhibitions
We
are keen at the Boogaloo to exhibit great rock n' roll works of art. We
launched our art program with "Stage Side" in early 2000 to
great acclaim. "Stage Side" was an exhibition of drawings by
Stuart Walton of Artistes performing live on stage at last year's summer
music festivals, especially Glastonbury. His works included Macy Gray,
Foo Fighters, Joe Strummer, Coldplay, and many more. We are currently
hosting "Stade Side II".
Previous
shows have included a photographic exhibition by acclaimed rock photographer
Bleddyn Butcher. This included shots of Keith Richards, The Pogues, Nick
Cave, and Bob Marley. After the launch party on July 23rd the works hung
in the bar for four weeks. All works were for sale and many bought by
patrons of the bar.
The
legendary B.P. Fallon (www.bpfallon.com) chose to launch his first London
exhibition for some time with "Rock n' Roll - Skin & Bones"
at the Boogaloo. |
