Boogaloo was opened at Christmas 2002 by Jazzman entertainment. The people behind Jazzman, John Keane and Gerry O'Boyle, shared a vision and desire to create a bar that would establish itself amongst great rock n' roll bars of our time. Being dissillusioned by the blandness of theme bars, manufactured music and the scene in general, their aims were simply to create a bar known for "good drink, good music, and good atmosphere."

Based in leafy Highgate, North London, the Boogaloo has, in its own short life achieved all of the aforementioned names. Now it's merely a question of getting bigger and better. Its creation is no ordinary bar; the aims are above those of the norm in the trade. The Boogaloo is living and breathing culture to its audience. Jazzman is developing and opening this bar as if it were a Rock n' Roll band from the outset, from our attitude to our P.R. right down to the entertainment.
