    JAZZMAN ENTERTAINMENTS

Jazzman Entertainment (trading name of Jazzman Limited) was formed by John Keane and Gerry O'Boyle in mid-2002. The aim of this company was to undertake projects in the entertainment industry, beginning with building and developing the "Boogaloo" brand with a view to widening our horizons in the fields of bars and entertainment promotion. The first such project undertaken was the acquisition in October 2002 of a public house in Highgate, North London. This became known as "The Boogaloo". Apart from being the hippest rock n' roll bar and juke joint in the world, it is home to musicians1, actors and authors alike. It stands presently as the headquarters of Jazzman Entertainment and hosts various shows and events, making it the ideal launchpad for the aims of Jazzman Entertainment.>

Mission Statement.

To encourage and promote, to entertain and educate our audience in real music, to return to it's golden era, a time when boogaloo was hip, Elvis was King, Jack Kennedy was a poster boy and vinyl was all the rage. To develop and promote this through the ideal surroundings of a "Juke Joint". Our Definition of "Boogaloo"During the early 1960's a new and exciting type of music and dance emanated from the Spanish Harlem club scene of New York City and became known as Boogaloo. This new sound derived from a mixture of deep Southern States soul and blues with predominant Hispanic/Latin-American-style vibes. Exponents of this music ranged from James Brown to Etta James.
